All About the Scottish Setting

Hi Friends and Family,

This month, we’re diving back into reader questions about THE STARS OF SCOTLAND. One of the most asked questions is: is the story set in Scotland?

100% YES! In this travel romance, you get to travel with Brielle (Brie) Finlay Hunter to bustling cities, historic castles, fascinating museums, breathtaking mountains, glistening lochs (lakes), magical isles, and more.

On this adventure, your first stop is Edinburgh—the capital city. Here, Brie and her bestie, Andrea, explore the city, castle, gardens, food, and culture. She also embarks on a few romantic dates with a mysterious Scotsman…

Next, we travel by train across the countryside to Glasgow. Here, we explore the vibrant city, street art, Botanic Gardens, museums, lochs, rivers, and more.

And we may even go to a special filming location just outside Glasgow…

From Glasgow, we travel north to Glencoe meeting a couple cute furry friends along the way and stopping at majestic valleys to immerse ourselves in nature. Amongst the majestic hills of Glencoe, we’ll also learn about history and connection.

Next, prepare to get swept away because a certain red-headed Scot may even take you on a surprise trip to one of the Isles, but I’m not going to spoil it.

You’ll also visit the seaside town of Aberdeen, walk along gorgeous golden sand beaches, and more, then travel to Braemar where you’ll possibly spot a few athletes throwing metal hammers and tossing gigantic cabers (have you seen those things?!).

I can’t wait for you to be swept away with Brie in Scotland. I had so much fun researching and writing an immersive travel experience into this novel. I’m also ecstatic to share that a few Scottish beta readers praised my setting and accompanying location depictions in my novel (the ultimate compliment!). When you read my novel, I hope you get to escape to Scotland too.

Until next time, I send you lots of love.

Xo

Erica
